‘Peranmai’ have decided to release on October 16 !

Post  TP Princess on Wed Oct 14, 2009 2:14 pm

Last minute changes in calendar of Diwali releases have created confusions across the towns. According to the earlier trade reports, both the films ‘Peranmai’ and Surya-Nayanthara starrer ‘Aadhavan’ was slated to hit the screens on Oct 17 for Diwali. Even the booking plans opened up on Sunday with accordance to it.But all of sudden, makers of ‘Peranmai’ have decided to release the film on Friday (October 16) itself. When approached the sources, they responded that since Surya’s ‘Aadhavan’ is opening big across more screens, ‘Peranmai’ may have some compatibility at some centres. As well, Ayngaran Productions strongly believe that reviews over electronic medium may have its focus on ‘Aadhavan’ if released on the same day. That seems to have urged them to release the film a day prior to Diwali… Of course, they’ve got some favorable results as few theatre owners have released the schedule of releasing the film in big screens for the first day and later shifting it back to alternative screens as ‘Aadhavan’ will replace it.
